Keerti Krishnan

Keerti Krishnan

Senior Consultant- Sustainability and Climate Change.

Keerti is involved in the business intelligence and development of VNV’s Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality services. Her prior experience include carbon accounting for organisations and events as per GHG Protocol as well as designing carbon reduction strategies for a conglomerate company in India. Having been trained for Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability reporting and co-authored briefing papers on ‘Business Responsibility’ and ‘Sustainability reporting Trends’, she has a sound technical know-how of mainstream sustainability standards and trends.

She holds a Master’s degree in ‘Environmental Management’ plus a Diploma in ‘Energy and Fuels from Waste’ from Lancaster University, UK. Prior to which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Zoology and Environmental Science from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

Sahana Naganathan

Sahana Naganathan

Senior Consultant - GHG Services & Sustainability

Sahana is involved in project coordination of VNV’s Sustainability, Environmental Accounting and LCA Services; through which she has worked on multiple GRI G4 based sustainability reports, environmental management and environmental foot-printing projects across varied sectors.
Her proficiency in environmental studies has been acquired through seven years of work experience (including International experience) with multinational companies in India, Dubai and Europe.
She has worked with companies of varied sizes in sectors such as cement, construction, renewables, power, chemicals, etc. She has sound technical knowledge in performing environmental audits which include sustainability reporting, GHG accounting, waste management, energy management and environmental impact reduction strategies, and also has experience with Environmental software such as Gabi, e-Sankey and LEAP.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bits Pilani – Dubai Campus and a Erasmus Mundus European Joint Masters in ‘Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy’, from a consortium of three universities in Europe.

Mitalee Kale

Mitalee is involved in business intelligence and development. With a corporate communications background she focuses mainly on the Sustainability Strategy and reporting. Having a wide experience in Client Services & Relations, she implements her prior experience and knowledge in business development and marketing of the services with various business ventures.

A post graduate diploma degree in Corporate Communication from School of Communication, Manipal University. She has actively participated in ‘Clean Coonoor’ projects with the local bodies and municipality. Volunteering for the Keystone Foundation in Kothagiri for restoring the local tribal population, Toda village and their architecture. She has since aimed at building a career in climate change and sustainability domain.

Medha Bantalpad

Consultant - GHG Services & Sustainability

Medha is involved with VNV’s climate change and sustainability services- she works towards business development and management, she’s involved in services like sustainability reporting, life cycle perspective assessments (ISO 14,001), life cycle assessments (ISO 14,040/44), and also has experience with carbon projects, mostly relating to agricultural carbon emission reductions. She has worked extensively on conducting feasibility studies for incorporation of renewable energy options like solar energy for utility scale projects.
Medha has worked on a wide range of projects, which entail components in a variety of fields- right from looking at sustainability from an ecological perspective, through biodiversity impact assessment and conservation, designing Environmental and Social Impact projects (ESIA) in accordance with IFC sustainability framework and Equator III principles, to looking at industries and their direct impact on the environment through supply chain analysis and life cycle assessments. Her prior project experience includes working on Life Cycle Assessments of energy generated from renewable energy options, Life Cycle Perspective studies (ISO 14,001) of manufacturing sectors like iron and steel industry, energy generation sectors like wind, hydro-power and solar energy, and also in conducting environmental audits. She has been trained in life cycle analysis, and environmental auditing, and she also has knowledge on bench-marking practices for industries to move towards sustainable supply chain management.
She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from The Energy and Research Institute (TERI University), New Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Botany from St. Joseph’s College of Arts and Science, Bangalore. She’s also currently pursuing a P.G Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy form National Law School, India.

Joseph Varun Francis

Manager - Sustainability Tools Development

Varun is responsible for data gathering & analysis which includes identifying environmental parameter for Sustainability Reporting and Life Cycle Assessments. He has worked with multi-sector data and has a strong understanding of sector specific environmental impacts. He is acquainted with the Environmental management – Life cycle assessment standards that encompasses the ISO 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006. Varun has an understanding the functionality of LCA based software like GaBi and OpenLCA tools.

After graduating with an Environmental Engineering degree from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University, Varun worked with a carbon management firm where he had hands-on experience in Carbon Accounting and Management Software platforms as per GHG Protocol for organisations and events. Varun has been trained to conduct sustainability reporting as per Global Reporting Initiative.

Tara Sriram

Tara Sriram

Consultant - Land-Use Change and Forestry

Tara is involved with VNV’s Land Use Change and Forestry projects, working on Sustainable Agriculture, Agro-forestry and A/R projects. She has over four years of experience working on Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Projects with grassroots level organisations as a part of the Fair Climate Network, primarily working on Sustainable Agriculture across 5 states of southern and central India. She was involved with design, implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation of the projects, working closely with NGO field teams and technical experts at all stages.

Following this, as Project Lead in a Bangalore based NGO, she played a critical role in the conception and implementation of a first of its kind rural Waste Management programme in northern Karnataka. After the successful implementation of this project, she began work as an independent consultant, working on various Climate Change related projects.

Brinda Kulkarni

Associate Consultant - Corporate Governance & Sustainability

Brinda is part of our team of sustainability experts and comes from a finance background. Having had experience in working with financial data and statistics from a wide range of industries, she has strong analytical skills and can identify solutions. She focuses on the economic and governance aspects of sustainability reporting under the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and assists clients in reporting on aspects like stakeholder engagement, governance, risk management, economic, social and environmental impacts, commitments to external initiatives, ethics and integrity, market presence, financial implications, risks and opportunities of climate change and other significant economic impacts.

She is involved with Sustainability reporting on economic and governance aspects, research and front end business development of the Company.

She has a Certification in Introduction to Sustainability and holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Finance, from Jain University, Bangalore and has experience of working as an Audit Associate in one of the big four audit companies in the world.

Ambika Balraj

Senior Consultant – Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Services

Ambika is engaged in the development and management of social emission reduction projects and environmental foot-printing services at VNV Adivsory.
Prior to VNV Advisory, Ambika has more than 4 years experience in sustainability consulting and training with Climate Miles Pvt. Ltd. Her previous roles involved sustainability-related data analysis, reporting and modelling solutions for Indian and international organisations. Her clientele included Corporates and research bodies like World Resource Institute (WRI, India) and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency - Ministry of Power, India.
She has also developed and deployed sustainability training at educational institutions and organisations.
Ambika carries with her research experience in waste and effluent treatment with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D).
Ambika has a background in science, having pursued a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from GRD College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, and then moving on to a masters in Industrial & Commercial Biotechnology from Newcastle University, UK.

Disha Bhattacharjee

Senior Consultant- Sustainable Development and CSR

Disha is engaged in the design, implementation, monitoring and assessment of VNV‘s climate change and sustainability initiatives with local communities. She is also involved in strategy, programme design, implementation and management of VNV’s CSR advisory services’ projects.

She has over 7 years of work experience in sustainable development with entities such as the Planning Commission of India, IL&FS Clusters, and the Institute of Economic Growth. Her projects have included; assessing future socio-economic scenarios for climate change in India for the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, measuring geographic vulnerabilities to socio-economic development in hill states in India for the XIV Finance Commission, developing sustainable production and consumption practices for hand-loom and handicrafts for European Commission’s Switch Asia Project, and implementing handicraft and textile mega-cluster projects for the Ministry of Textiles. She has also interned with UN HABITAT’s Best Practices programme in Nairobi, Kenya, researching and writing on various global initiatives in environmental management, urban housing, and participatory urban governance.

Disha holds a BA Honours in Economics from Miranda House, Delhi University and a Masters in Economic Development from the University of Glasgow, UK.

Archana Joshi

Consultant – Sustainability Reporting

Archana is involved with VNV’s Climate Change and Sustainability services and is primarily involved in the Sustainability Reporting services line of the organization. She has been certified by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) on sustainability reporting.

Her prior experience has been in the sustainable construction field, where she worked as a Sustainability consultant. She is a certified IGBC Accredited Professional (AP), and has design & implementation experience in LEED and IGBC sector for commercial and residential buildings. She has worked with daylight modeling & energy modeling applications that include ECOTECT & eQuest

She holds a Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

Shivika Solanki

Shivika Solanki

Consultant - Sustainability & Climate Change

Shivika is involved with VNV’s Climate Change and Sustainability services and is primarily working in the Sustainability Reporting services line of the organization. She has prior experience in working in educational and start-up environments as well as research experience in environmental microbiology, environmental modelling, LCA and environmental policy.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. She is also pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Environmental Law and Policy from WWF and NLU, Delhi.

Dhruvil Brahmbhatt

Dhruvil Brahmbhatt

Consultant – Forestry & Biodiversity

Dhruvil is a forestry expert and responsible for development and execution of Carbon Emission Reduction projects in Forestry, Sustainable Agriculture and LULUCF. He has varied experience in Climate Sciences models and Biodiversity Conservation. He has a sound technical know-how of mainstream Forestry Carbon Accounting and Forestry Carbon Standards, Social and Environmental standards. Prior to joining VNV, he had worked for Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune on Convective Uplifting of Methane and its effects in Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere (UTLS). He was also part of a National Ambient Air Monitoring Project (NAMP) organized by Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Vadodara.

Dhruvil holds a Master Degree in Environment Management form Forest Research Institute Dehradun and Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science from The M.S University of Baroda, Vadodara.

Associate Consultant – Marine Conservation & Biodiversity

Smrutica has extensively worked in coordinating conservation activities in and around India. Activities which involve working with coastal conservation NGOs, building capacity for coastal wildlife conservation. She has also been involved in designing and deploying training programmes for coastal and marine conservation. She has previously done research and report on sustainable practices undertaken by an educational institute, a hospitality industry, and local households in Bangalore.

Smrutica has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore. She has also completed her Graduate Diploma in Marine Biology and Master’s in Marine Conservation from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, where she studied and worked in and around New Zealand (and Australia) on various research projects. Her main focus during her study abroad was ecological biodiversity, its conservation and restoration.

Siddharth has been involved with VNV Advisory Services since 2010 as a Carbon Advisor. He played a pivotal role in the business intelligence and development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Voluntary Carbon Reduction (VCR) and Gold Standard projects in India as well as Sri Lanka. Siddharth has instrumented multi-stakeholder transactions and has built a strong rapport with business angels in wind, biomass, hydro and natural gas industries.

Graduated with Bachelors in Commerce from Christ University (Autonomous), Bangalore, he realised his passion for sustainability and social empowerment issues while working with AIESEC India. He has since built a career in the climate change and sustainability domain.

Priyanka is actively involved with sustainability business solutions, market feasibility study, front end business development & project management of the company. She is involved actively with implementation of our services that include carbon accounting, waste management, energy efficiency and energy reduction strategies.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from St. Joseph’s College (Art & Science), Bangalore and has a Masters in ‘Life Sciences, from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

Arun Francis

Graphic Designer & Creative Collaborator

Arun works with VNV Advisory as a Graphic Designer & Animator. He is primarily involved in content design.
As a graphic designer, he works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, banners, reports, posters and displays developing our diverse clientele corporate sustainability communications and marketing.
His work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software such as the various Adobe Creative Tools.
He uses a variety of design elements to achieve artistic & professional effects.

He has previously worked in MPS Pvt. Ltd., Chronicle Pictures & Urban Hermits as a Graphic Designer. Before joining VNV Advisory, he was an Animation Teacher with Christ School (ICSE) in collaboration with 3DI School New Zealand.

He completed a B.Sc. Degree in Animation and Multimedia from Arena Animation, Bangalore.

Edel Monteiro

Edel is involved in the business development and implementation of VNV’s Sustainability and Climate Change services. Her focus is largely on Sustainability Strategy and Sustainability Reporting for corporations, through which she has facilitated multiple GRI G4 reports for Indian and multinational companies across varied sectors. Her proficiency in sustainability and carbon has been honed over eight years of working with multinational companies and Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) in India, South America and the UK. Edel has worked with companies of various economic size in the construction, financial, tyre manufacturing, textile and telecommunications sectors; wherein she enabled Sustainability Reporting, Carbon Footprint Mapping & Reduction, CDP reporting, Energy Efficiency, Water Management, Waste Reduction, Employee Engagement, Ethical Policy Draft and Community Engagement. Edel has authored several documents including Project Summary reports, GRI Sustainability reports, Impact Assessments, Carbon audit reports, Employee survey reports as well as a handbook for Employee Sustainability.
She holds a Master’s degree in ‘Environment & Sustainable Development‘ from University College London plus a Masters in ’Sociology’ from Mumbai University. Prior to which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Psychology and Anthropology’ from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

Sandeep is one of the founding members of VNV Advisory, responsible for the initiation and development of the carbon advisory and sustainability wing at VNV. His innovative approach in re-structuring carbon pricing, facilitated over 4 million offsets through Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Voluntary Carbon Reduction (VCR) projects worldwide. Sandeep’s strong belief in community outreach and sustainable initiatives, spearheaded company ownership of low carbon developments including rural renewable energy generation projects.

Sandeep has had over 12 years of industry experience in various fields, with 6 years dedicated to the consulting business. He holds a degree in Electronics.

Vishnu Vardhan

Manager – Finance

Vishnu is responsible for managing our financial portfolio and is involved with operations of the firm. He is handling accounting & taxation matters at the firm and is also involved in managing books of accounts, inward and outward remittance, indirect and direct taxes, maintaining of assets and providing financial advice.

Prior to this, he has had 3 years work experience in the field of accounting and financial, and has worked as a tax consultant at Invest Wise.

He holds a Bachelors in Commerce from Bangalore university, currently pursuing an MBA in Finance & Banking in Symbiosis Distance Education.

Vijay Bhaskar

Manager – Finance

Vijay is responsible for managing our financial portfolio. He has had over 13 years of experience, a decade at Essar Enterprise and 3 with VNV. He provides advice and guidance on transactions and investments.

He holds a Bachelors in Commerce from Gulbarga University, Karnataka and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance.
